Because He Lives We Can Always Turn to Jesus
Because He Lives We Can Always Turn to Jesus
Return to me, and I will return to you, says the Lord of hosts.
Malachi 3:7
Devotion for Today
Have you ever had a season of life where Jesus wasn’t your first love? Maybe you still went to church, but your heart wasn’t in it?
All relationships have ebbs and flows, even our relationship with Jesus.
And this isn’t something that’s confined to our moment in time. The Israelites dealt with it constantly. But I love the reminder we find in today’s verse.
Sometimes life is hard, and we don’t take our problems to Jesus. But that’s the thing about Jesus, He will always be there for us.
We don’t have a manmade idol or a figure from history we worship. We serve a living God, we have a messiah that rose from the grave and is alive today. And as long as there is breath in our lungs, it’s never too late to turn back to Him. He will always listen to our prayers of repentance.
Second Timothy 2:13 says, “if we are faithless, he remains faithful— for he cannot deny himself.” He is a God of mercy and grace and He’s not stingy with either.
Our redeemer lives.
