Devotion for Today
2,000 years ago, Jesus lived, died, and rose again to conquer sin one time, for all time. It’s because of the blood He shed on the cross that we live forgiven and free.
But here’s the thing: God’s not done.
When He came 2,000 years ago, He conquered the hold sin has on us. But someday He’s coming again.
This time, He will eradicate sin from the world as a whole. Not just setting us free from sin, but demolishing it completely and for all eternity.
The curse that fell upon the world in the garden will be lifted. Satan will be banished. There will be a new heaven and a new earth.
God will wipe away all the tears from our eyes. Pain will be a thing of the past. We will live forevermore with our blessed Savior.
It will be a good day.
Every knee in heaven and earth will bow and declare Jesus as King. We will worship Him and live in harmony as we were created to do. God’s kingdom come.
Our redeemer lives.
