Because He Lives We Can Be Still & Know
Because He Lives we can be still and know that He is God.
“Be still, and know that I am God.
Psalm 46:10
I will be exalted among the nations,
I will be exalted in the earth!”
Devotion for Today
Christianity is different than every other religion. Not just because our Savior lives, but because He asks for nothing in return of our faith. Jesus wants us to rest in the knowledge that He is God.
When we come to Christ, there’s nothing to do. We don’t have a “good Christian to-do list” because all it takes to be a “good Christian” is to believe.
We believe that Jesus is the Son of God. We believe He came to save us. We believe He died for our sins, and that He rose from the grave. We believe He took all of our sins upon Himself and defeated death.
In Psalm 46, David wrote that we need nothing more than to be still and know He is God.
That’s the encouragement I want to pass on to you today. Simply be still and know.
Our redeemer lives.
