Devotion for Today
When Jesus came all those years ago, He came to complete what was written in the days of old. He became the lamb of sacrifice that washes all our sins away. Because He came and died, we no longer need to make blood sacrifices. His blood is enough.
And because He died and rose again, taking our punishment on Himself, He tore the veil that separated us from God. Because of Jesus, we can now approach the throne of glory with confidence. Laying our prayers at the foot of the cross.
He also rose to give us life more abundantly. Following Jesus isn’t about following a list of rules, it’s about going on a journey with someone who loves you more than you could ever imagine. And because we love Him in return, He changes our hearts to reflect His will. He changes us to make us more like Him. More like He created us to be.
With our risen Savior, we have abundant life in the here and now, and in life everlasting.
If you don’t see yourself as living abundant life, I encourage you to take that to God in prayer. Listen to what He’s telling you and trust Him for your future.
