Devotion for Today: Psalm 138:8
The devotion for today is designed to help you dig into God’s Word, spend time with the One who created you, and let Jesus invade your life.
Bible Verse for Today
The Lord will fulfill his purpose for me; your steadfast love, O Lord, endures forever. Do not forsake the work of your hands.
Psalm 138:8
Devotion for Today
I’m thankful for today’s verse because I have pretty low self-esteem. Chronic migraines effect my ability to make and keep commitments. My brain doesn’t always function the way it’s supposed to. And I’m often times tempted to feel unworthy of my family because they are all awesome.
But God.
Who doesn’t love a good “But God” now and again. #AmIRight?
Psalm 138:8 reminds me that God will fulfill His purpose for me. It’s not up to me to do what God has called me to do. 1 Thessalonians 5:24 says, “He who calls you is faithful; he will surely do it.” That’s a promise from God’s Word.
If it’s God’s will, He will make it happen.
So if you’re tempted to feel less than or are stuck in your own insecurities, remember that God is the One who makes things happen.
Praying Psalm 138:8 for Today
Father God, thank You for the promise that You will fulfill Your purpose for me. I get tempted to doubt myself, but ultimately my faith lies in You. Your steadfast love, O Lord, endures forever. Help me to remember that always. Amen.
