The devotion for today is designed to help you dig into God’s Word, spend time with the One who created you, and let Jesus invade your life.
Bible Verse for Today
The Lord judges the peoples;
Psalm 7:8
judge me, O Lord, according to my righteousness
and according to the integrity that is in me.
Devotion for Today
The Bible verse I wanted to share today is Psalm 7:8
The Lord judges the peoples;
judge me, O Lord, according to my righteousness
and according to the integrity that is in me.
And I’m thankful that Jesus doesn’t judge us according to our own righteousness, because I fail so often. I mess up. I fall short. And I just… I know I’m not worthy. And that if God judged me for me, I would be found lacking.
So instead, we are judged according to the righteousness of Christ. And I’m so thankful for that because He is the only one who never sins. He is the only one who really is worthy.
And a verse that confirms this is Philippians 3:7-9. And it says:
But whatever gain I had, I counted as loss for the sake of Christ. Indeed, I count everything as loss because of the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord. For his sake I have suffered the loss of all things and count them as rubbish, in order that I may gain Christ and be found in him, not having a righteousness of my own that comes from the law, but that which comes through faith in Christ, the righteousness from God that depends on faith.
So, I encourage you today that your righteousness comes from Christ and even if you mess up or fall short that you are covered by the blood of Christ. And you are found righteous because of Jesus.
