God’s Wisdom

Today’s chapter is one of my favorites in the book of Proverbs. It holds so much wisdom it was hard for me to choose just one verse for us to focus on today. But I love how the second verse reminds us we need God’s wisdom.

It’s easy to think we have pure motives and do everything for the right reason, but sometimes it’s important to check our spirit. Are we really living for Jesus, or are we functioning on autopilot? Is Jesus really our Lord, or are we living for ourselves? It goes back to Galatians 1:10 that I shared before, “For am I now seeking the approval of man, or of God? Or am I trying to please man? If I were still trying to please man, I would not be a servant of Christ.”

It’s important we spend time with Jesus every day and ask Him to check our spirit. To lead us as we go about our day. Verse three in Proverbs sixteen says this, “Commit your work to the Lord, and your plans will be established.” Let’s do everything for the glory of God today.
