Good News at the Feet of Jesus

ByHeather Hart

Bible Verse for Today

“How beautiful upon the mountains
are the feet of him who brings good news,
who publishes peace, who brings good news of happiness,
 who publishes salvation,
who says to Zion, ‘Your God reigns.’”

Isaiah 52:7

Good News at the Feet of Jesus

Saul was essentially a terrorist. He was a zealot whose entire goal in life was killing Christians. If you followed Jesus, Saul was out to get you.

…Or he was. But that was before he met Jesus on the road to Damascus.

“Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting me?” (Acts 4:9)

Saul knew who it was, but still he asked, “Who are you, Lord?” (v. 5)

“I am Jesus, whom you are persecuting.” (v. 5)

And just like that, Saul’s whole world changed.

Saul was still zealous, but instead of persecuting the followers of Christ, he became one of them. He went to the ends of the earth, proclaiming Jesus to the masses.

Your saving moment might look nothing like Saul’s, but it is no less valuable in the eyes of Jesus. Because you’re no less valuable in the eyes of Jesus. And you’re no longer the person you were before you met Jesus, either.

Whether your transformation was dramatic or subtle, when you accepted Jesus as your Lord and Savior, everything changed. Instead of living a life alienated from God, Jesus made a way to bring you back to Him (John 14:6).

So, today, as we sit at the feet of Jesus, I encourage you to take a moment to ponder who you were before, and how different your life looks now.
