Jesus Cares for Us

I love that we are loved by God. Everyone worries sometimes. Today’s verse reminds us of the truth that we can turn to Jesus when we get stressed out or anxious. We can always come to Him because He cares for us.

Jesus loved us so much that He humbled Himself to be killed on a cross. In everything He did on earth, He showed His great love for us. When we are stressed out and having a bad day, Jesus cares. “For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but one who in every respect has been tempted as we are, yet without sin” (Hebrews 4:15). Jesus doesn’t just care, He gets it. He’s been in our shoes, and He had bad days.

Sure, culture was different back when He walked the earth, but He did walk the earth. And Jesus told us in the book of John, “Greater love has no one than this, that someone lay down his life for his friends” (v. 15:13). That’s how much Jesus cares for us.

In Matthew 10:30-31, Jesus promised that we are worth more to Him than the sparrows, and that He has the hairs on our head numbered. If He cares about something as trivial as that, then we can trust He cares about what concerns us—big or small. That’s why I’m thankful for Jesus today.

Prayer of Gospel Gratitude

Father God, You love me and care about me so much. You are omnipotent, God of all, and yet You care about me and my life. Jesus was (and is) the perfect picture of Your love for me. Help me to cast all my cares on You, because I know You care.
