Jesus Gives Us Strength

Life is hard, but God is good. That’s my motto. Part of God’s goodness is the strength we get from Jesus, the strength to get through the little things, the big things, and the in-between things. Jesus gives us strength to get through life.

Matthew 6:33 says, “But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.” That’s how Jesus gives us strength. When we seek the things of God, Jesus takes care of the rest. Matthew 11:30 says, “My yoke is easy, and my burden is light.” Jesus gives us the strength to get through each day, each moment, with Him at our side. Just like when Peter’s faith wavered as he walked on water, we can reach for Jesus when we feel like we are going to sink.

We get strength from Jesus by knowing we aren’t in this alone. And Jesus said that when we are weak, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness” (2 Corinthians 12:9). He is our strength when we are weak. That’s why I’m thankful for Jesus today.

Prayer of Gospel Gratitude

Father God, thank You for Jesus. Thank You for the strength He gives me to get through each day. Please help me lean into Him when I get run down and weary.
