Devotion for Today

Jesus is God with Us

Jesus is Immanuel: God with us. And He is with us—every moment of every day.

Psalm 139:7-10 says, “Where shall I go from your Spirit? Or where shall I flee from your presence? If I ascend to heaven, you are there! If I make my bed in Sheol, you are there! If I take the wings of the morning and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea, even there your hand shall lead me, and your right hand shall hold me.”

No matter what you’re facing today, you can do so knowing that God is with you. I don’t know how today will work itself out, but God does. He knows the end from the beginning, and He will be with you every step of the way. No matter what you’re going through or how far from God you feel, He is never more than a prayer away.

Today, that truth leaves me thankful for all of creation.

Father God, thank You for always being with me… that I don’t have to face this world alone. Thank You for being Immanuel.
