Devotion for Today
Jesus Knows the End from the Beginning
Corrie Ten Boom once said, “When a train goes through a tunnel and it gets dark, you don’t throw away the ticket and jump off. You sit still and trust the engineer.” And so it is with our Christian life.
When life gets tough, we shouldn’t toss our relationship with Jesus out the window. We should dig into Him and let Him be our refuge, because He already knows how our struggle will end. He sees the end from the beginning, and we can trust Him with our future.
I don’t know about you, but I take a great deal of comfort in the fact that God knows the end from the beginning. It helps me to trust Him instead of worrying about what will come next. I can trust that whatever it is, God is already there. He knows what will happen. He will be with me every step of the way, and He’s got this (whatever “this” is).
Prayer of Gospel Gratitude
