Kingdom Hope

ByHeather Hart

Kingdom Hope is the devotion for today. It’s designed to help you dig into God’s Word, spend time with the One who created you, and let Jesus invade your life.

Bible Verse for Today

“May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.”

Romans 15:13 (NIV)

Devotion for Today

Kingdom Hope

Imagine a person lost at sea, clinging to a piece of driftwood amidst the raging waves. Suddenly, they spot a flare in the distance—a signal of rescue. Their heart fills with hope, even though they are still in the midst of the storm.

In our life’s journey, we find ourselves in such storms—times of uncertainty, pain, or difficulty. But Romans 15:13 reminds us that we have a beacon of hope to cling to—our Lord Jesus Christ. Even in the midst of our trials, He fills us with joy and peace, assuring us of His presence and His promises.

This hope is not just for us to hold onto—it’s also for us to share. Just like the flare on the distant ship, our hope can be a beacon for others who are lost or struggling. As we trust in God, His hope overflows from us, empowered by the Holy Spirit, and can guide others towards His saving grace.

So, let’s embrace this Kingdom hope. Let’s allow God to fill us with His joy and peace, and let’s share this hope with others, shining His light in the world.
