Kingdom Influence
Consider a lighthouse standing tall on a rocky coastline. Its light shines brightly, guiding ships away from danger and leading them safely to shore. The lighthouse doesn’t make the journey for the ships; it simply provides light to guide their way.
In Matthew 5:13-16, Jesus calls us to be like that lighthouse. We are to be the salt of the earth and the light of the world, using our influence to shine God’s light in dark places and guide people toward Him.
Our influence might not always seem significant. It could be as simple as showing kindness to a stranger, offering encouragement to a friend, or living with integrity in our workplaces. Yet, just like the lighthouse, these small acts of faith can have a big impact. They can guide people toward the love of God and inspire them to glorify Him.
Remember, our goal is not to draw attention to ourselves, but to reflect the light of Christ. As we let our light shine, it’s His love, His truth, and His grace that people will see.
So, let’s embrace our Kingdom influence. Let’s shine brightly, live boldly, and use our influence to point people to our King.
