Let it Rain
Sow for yourselves righteousness; reap steadfast love; break up your fallow ground, for it is the time to seek the Lord, that he may come and rain righteousness upon you.
Hosea 10:12
I’m sitting here listening to the rain fall on our metal roof. Not a torrential rain, but it’s slow and steady, almost like a lullaby.
It reminded me of Hosea 10:12 where it says, “Sow for yourselves righteousness; reap steadfast love; break up your fallow ground, for it is the time to seek the Lord, that he may come and rain righteousness upon you.”
The new year is almost upon us and I can’t think of a more inspirational verse for this time of year.
Every new year, people make resolutions, they pick words, phrases, or Scriptures for the year to come. But I’m thinking there is nothing better for today than to start sowing righteousness and reaping God’s love. To break up the soil of our hearts and seek the Lord.
How can you do that today?
