Our Foundation of Faith

Pause for a moment and reflect on our inner fortress. What holds it together? What keeps it standing strong amidst the storms of life?

The answer lies in one powerful word: Faith.

Think about it. Faith is the cornerstone of our fortress within. It’s the bedrock that supports everything else. Without faith, our fortress would crumble. But with faith, it stands tall and unshaken, no matter how fierce the winds blow.

But what does faith look like in real life?

Imagine you’re in a dark room. You can’t see a thing, but you keep moving, feeling your way around, trusting that you won’t bump into anything.

That’s faith.

It’s moving forward even when we can’t see the path ahead. It’s trusting in God’s promises even when our circumstances suggest otherwise.

Think about your own life. How has faith played a role for you? Has there been a time when faith was the only thing you had to hold onto? I bet there has. And I bet you’ll find that your faith has been the silent, strong foundation holding you up all this while.

Prayer

Lord, today I come before You asking for faith. Not just any faith, Lord, but a faith that moves mountains. A faith that stands firm in the face of trials, that never wavers in its trust in Your promises. Strengthen my faith, Lord. Make it the unshakeable foundation of my fortress within. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
