Teaching Wisdom
The book of Proverbs holds a wealth of wisdom, but today’s verse is one of my favorites. No matter how much we learn, there will always be something we don’t know. From programing a new device to theology, there’s always something new to be discovered.
I love that about God’s Word. Hebrews 4:12 tells us that the Bible is living and active. The more we read it, the more we understand. That’s why it’s important we spend time in it continuously.
2 Timothy 3:16-17 says, “All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work.” Matthew 4:4 tells us we cannot live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God. 1 Peter 2:2 encourages us to long for spiritual milk so we can grow up into salvation. I could go on and on. But I’ll leave you with this: Jesus was known as a great teacher. He preached with authority none of the other scribes or pharisees had. If we want to grow to be more like Jesus, we have to spend time in His Word.
