The Lord repay you for what you have done, and a full reward be given you by the Lord, the God of Israel, under whose wings you have come to take refuge!

Devotion for Today
We are studying Ruth in my weekly women’s Bible study and today we came across this blessing Boaz gave to Ruth when they first met. Boaz had heard about Ruth and how she had given up her homeland to travel with Naomi back to Bethlehem. Boaz had heard how she had turned her back on her gods, to serve the God of Israel.
So he spoke these words to her:
The Lord repay you for what you have done, and a full reward be given you by the Lord, the God of Israel, under whose wings you have come to take refuge!
Ruth 2:12
That last statement. Taking refuge under the wings of our God. What a beautiful picture that is. I hope that’s where today finds you. Taking refuge under the wings of our God.
